Age Requirement & Legal Agreement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service and make purchases. By creating an account, accessing, or using World of the Mafia, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

(0.) Legal Terms & Virtual Currency

Eligibility

0.1. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service and make purchases. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time.

Virtual Currency (Credits)

0.2. Credits are virtual currency with no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.

0.3. Credits are not transferable between users unless through in-game mechanisms.

0.4. Credits can only be used within the game for in-game items and features.

0.5. Credits are licensed to you, not sold, and do not constitute property.

Refund Policy

0.6. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable, except in the following circumstances: Technical error preventing delivery of Credits (report within 48 hours), Duplicate charges (report within 14 days), or Unauthorized charges (report within 48 hours with evidence).

0.7. Credits cannot be refunded once used in-game.

Intellectual Property

0.9. All content, features, and functionality of World of the Mafia are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Governing Law

0.10. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

(1.) Forums, Chat and General User Behaviour

1.1. Any racism aimed at a particular person or religion is forbidden.

1.2. No pornographic content.

1.3. Spamming the forums and chat with nonsense posts/messages or disallowed content is prohibited.

1.4. Do not discuss other mafia games by their name OR abbreviation.

1.5. Do not harass other players.

1.6. Because we cannot moderate other languages, we can only allow English in public chat. All languages are allowed via PM.

1.7. Players may not use offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language.

1.8. Do not impersonate other players or staff members.

(2.) User Account

Account Security

2.1. As your password must be kept secret from others, we store it in an irreversible format. In the unlikely event of someone hacking into your account, we will not be held responsible. When you request your password, we will send you a new one to your email.

2.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities that occur under your account.

2.3. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Multiple Accounts

2.4. You are not allowed to create more than 1 account however family accounts are an exception as long as there are no transactions or joining any Criminal Operations on the same IP as this will result in an instant ban.

Privacy

2.5. Your email addresses will not be shown, given or sold to the public.

Account Information

2.6. Users using false information when registering or changing their personal settings will have their account banned.

2.7. You must not automatically redirect any page to World of the Mafia or include the World of the Mafia site inside any other site visible or not.

Account Termination

2.8. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you: violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, use cheats or exploits, harass or abuse other players, or engage in any illegal activities.

2.9. Upon termination, you forfeit all Credits and in-game items with no refund.

(3.) Payments to World of the Mafia

Payment Terms

3.1. All payments are non-refundable except as specified in Section 0.6-0.8.

3.2. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. You agree to provide accurate payment information.

3.3. Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are subject to change.

3.4. Credits are delivered immediately upon successful payment.

3.5. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Chargebacks & Fraud

3.6. All chargebacks and reverse payments will be openly disputed with our provider and your account will be temporarily banned until further notice.

3.7. Credits bought using stolen material will have their details forwarded to the relevant fraud organisation.

3.8. If a reverse payment or chargeback is made, the credits purchased will be frozen prior to the decision that is made by the payment processor.

3.9. Disputing legitimate charges may result in account suspension.

(4.) Account Ban & Acceptable Use

Suspension & Banning

4.1. We have the right to ban your account at any time for any valid reason including, but not limited to, the disregard of our Terms of Service.

4.2. All suspended accounts will be archived and you cannot register using the same username or email addresses.

Prohibited Activities

4.3. You agree NOT to: attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the game; use bots, scripts, or automated tools; engage in real-money trading (RMT) outside official channels; or share/distribute account credentials.

(5.) Account Management & Game Rules

Scamming

5.1. Scamming can be hard to prove, so make sure you keep messages when making verbal contracts. If there is in-game proof we can deal with the problem, otherwise nothing can be done, so be smart.

Scripts & Automation

5.2. Using any form of script, bot, mod or addon to rank your account is not allowed.

5.3. If you're suspected scripting, you may be script tested, and in some cases more than once.

Exploiting

5.4. Exploiting is a big issue with PHP Mafia text-based games. Even if you don't actually commit the exploit, if you're found taking part by transferring money for example, and failing to report the incident to an administrator, you will have the same punishment as the exploiter.

(6.) Casinos & Betting

6.1. If we find that a casino/property has been used in an exploit, we have the right to reduce all exploited money from the game.

6.2. Casino owners raise their maximum bets at their own jurisdiction. We will not refund any money that may have been lost while you were holding the property.

6.3. Users can only bet on 1 casino at a particular time. For example, if you bet $100 on blackjack then bet on a racetrack, your blackjack bet will be cleared to stop cookie hacking.

(7.) Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Service Disclaimer

7.1. World of the Mafia is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

7.2. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, that defects will be corrected, or that the service is free from viruses.

Limitation of Liability

7.3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, World of the Mafia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

7.4. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Credits in the past 12 months.

Service Modifications

7.5. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the game at any time, change Credit prices, or remove/modify in-game content.

(8.) Consumer Rights & Contact

UK Consumer Rights

8.1. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
